mindless self indulgence

De todas as definições que eu já li na interweb pro Mindless Self Indulgence (pensem num sinônimo pra esse nome), certeza que industrial-jungle-pussy-punk é a melhor. O que esperar de uma banda que tem como integrantes Jimmy Urine (vocal), Steve, Right? (guitarra), Lyn-Z (baixista e casada com o Gerard Way - sim, o vocalista do My Chemical Romance!) e Kitty (batera)? Um som bizarro e divertido. Apesar de eu achar foda tudo que eles já lançaram, aconselho começar pelo Frankenstein Girls Will Seem Strangely Sexy. Já fui bem viciada nesse cd. O vocalista e o guitarrista também têm um outro projeto juntos, chamado The Left Rights. Eles lançaram um só disco, nem tão legal quanto o MSI, mas qualquer dia eu coloco aqui.

Tá, o nome pode ser meio ridículo, mas foi por causa dele que fuçando nos arquivos de algum usuário do Soulseek eu resolvi baixar o EP do I Love You But I've Chosen Darkness. Eles ainda nem tinham lançado o cd, mas as músicas do EP já me deixaram ansiosa por mais. Em 2006, saiu o ótimo Fear Is On Our Side com produção do Paul Barker (o cara do Ministry) - quem produziu o EP foi Britt Daniel (o cara do Spoon). Provavelmente vai agradar quem já gosta de Interpol, The National, Editors e Joy Division, claro.
